Your Apollo Beach Weight Loss Doctor
Dr. Winston T Cope
Dr. Cope is a Pinellas County native, but after high school, he left for Ohio for his BA degree in Chemistry at Oberlin College. He then returned to Florida for his M.D. degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Cope took his Internship in Straight Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami after which he joined the U.S. Navy Medical Corps for two years as a Medical Officer. Dr. Cope was stationed at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station for a year, where he served as Medical Officer and Executive Officer.
After returning from "The Ice," Dr. Cope worked in general medicine at the VA hospital in Durham, NC. He then began his Residency at Duke University.
Dr. Cope returned to Florida to join his family's medical practice. The surgical arm of the practice emphasized surgery, but in accordance with his medical background, Dr. Cope always paid extra attention to the "whole patient" including weight loss and hormone replacement therapy.

After receiving my Master's Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science, I went into weight loss coaching in order to impact people's lives in the best way I knew possible. Over the years I have helped my clients understand and maximize their results through both motivation and education. My goal is to help you see the best progress possible and enjoy the journey along the way!
